As a district, we know that strong schools begin with strong leadership. Our principals are at the heart of their school communities, supporting our educators, welcoming and partnering with families, and creating environments where every student feels seen, supported, and empowered to succeed.
Their impact can be seen in the classrooms they support, the relationships they build, the educators they encourage, and most importantly, in the lives of the students they serve.
To our 21 principals: thank you for leading with purpose, compassion, and dedication. Thank you for believing in our students, standing behind our educators, and strengthening our schools and communities.
We are proud to celebrate you.

Today, we celebrate the incredible coaches who dedicate their time, energy, and passion to supporting our student-athletes. 🏆
National Coaches Day honors the men and women who guide, inspire, motivate, and empower our student-athletes to grow both on and off the field. Your leadership, encouragement, and commitment make a lasting impact every day.
Thank you to all of our coaches for everything you do for our student-athletes!

October 5–9, 2026*
This week, the East Orange School District joins schools and communities in celebrating the importance of respect, kindness, empathy, and inclusion.
Let’s make a difference by choosing kindness, listening to one another, celebrating our differences, and creating a school community where everyone feels valued, welcomed, and respected.

Today, we celebrate and recognize the dedicated custodians who work behind the scenes to keep our schools clean, safe, welcoming, and ready for learning each day.
Your hard work, care, and commitment make a difference across our entire school community. Thank you for all that you do!
Join us in showing our custodians some extra appreciation today and every day!

This month, we stand together to raise awareness, honor those affected by breast cancer, and support the importance of early detection and regular screenings.
Let’s wear pink, share hope, and show our support for survivors, those currently facing breast cancer, and the families and loved ones beside them.

Throughout Attendance Awareness Month, we’ve highlighted a few important reasons why being at school every day matters:
-Improve graduation rates
-Prevent falling behind
-Support better grades
-Build foundational skills
Regular attendance gives students more opportunities to learn, grow, and succeed. Thank you to our students, families, and staff for making attendance a priority!
Every day counts. Every student matters.

The East Orange School District proudly celebrates National Hispanic Heritage Month! We honor the rich cultures, traditions, histories, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
Throughout our schools, we celebrate the diversity that makes our district strong and recognize the many voices and experiences that help shape our community.

Today, we pause as a district to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and the countless individuals, families, and communities forever changed by that day.
On this 25th anniversary, we honor the courage and sacrifice of the first responders, service members, and everyday heroes who came together in the face of unimaginable tragedy.
Twenty-five years later, we remember. We honor. We will never forget.

Did you know September is Attendance Awareness Month? Join us throughout the month as we share quick facts about why daily attendance matters and how showing up each day supports student success.
